May 30, 2011 – American Idol Winner Scotty McCreery Rides in Hollywood Studios Gala Parade

On May 30, 2011, to celebrate his win as the newest American Idol, Scotty McCreery rode down the streets of Hollywood Studios in a special gala parade, accompanied by Mickey Mouse. The parade ended in front of The American Idol Experience attraction, where McCreery treated guests to a rendition of his hit song “I Love You This Big.” He later surprised fans by making a surprise appearance in front of the attraction’s audience.

August 12, 2005 – Disney Channel Star Christy Carlson Romano Visits the World of Disney Store in NYC

On August 12, 2005, Disney Channel Star of Even Stevens and the voice of the titular Kim Possible Christy Carlson Romano was on hand at the World of Disney Store in New York City to sign autographs and meet fans. 75 “InspEARations” statues of Mickey Mouse had been touring around the country this year, and nine, including one designed by Romano in the likeness of her Kim Possible character, were on display during her visit.

May 31, 2008 – WALL-E Greets Visitors at the Newseum

On May 31, 2008, the title character from Pixar’s animated feature WALL-E was on hand to greet families at the Newseum in Washington, DC. The life-size robot was there on Family Day as a promotional tool for the upcoming film. The character was featured in the New York Times – Ochs-Sulzberger Family Great Hall of News for a few hours.

On December 29, 2006, recording artist and actor Donny Osmond held an appearance and autograph session in the Animal Kingdom Park of Walt Disney World. Osmond is well known in Disney circles for providing the singing voice for the character Shang in the animated feature Mulan, as well as starring as Gaston in the Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast; moreover, he is also known for being discovered, alongside his brother, by Walt Disney himself and performing at Disneyland. Osmond was on hand to sign copies of the Mulan soundtrack, memorabilia from the early days of his career, and copies of his recent album What I Meant to Say, his 54th studio album.
