August 22, 2006 – The Disney Community Celebration Announces Third Hotel
On August 22, 2006, the Walt Disney Company-created community Celebration, located in Osceola County, announced that they would be building its third hotel, and the largest one in the area to date. The 450-room condo hotel was to be developed by Mona Lisa Development, the U.S. affiliate of the French group Mona Lisa Hotels and Residences, in partnership with the Related Group of Florida. This was the French company’s first foray into development in the U.S., and Related Group’s first project in Central Florida.
