June 27, 1991 – The Shop Mickey’s Mart Closes
On June 27, 1991, the souvenir shop Mickey’s Mart officially closed. Open since October 1, 1971, the store was located in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland area, and sold a variety of general park merchandise. After closing, the area became Mickey’s Star Traders.
