April 27, 1999 – The ASCAP Honors Songwriters for Animated Feature Mulan
On April 27, 1999, the 14th annual American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) Film and Television Music Awards were held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, California. Songwriters Matthew Wilder and David Zippel were among those honored at the ceremony for their work on the animated feature film Mulan in the Top Box Office Films category; their song “Reflection” would go on to be nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Original Song.
