May 21, 1984 – Clarence “Ducky” Nash is Honored at Grauman’s Chinese Theater

On May 21, 1984, Clarence “Ducky” Nash, original voice of Donald Duck, and the character himself were on hand at a special ceremony honoring Nash at Grauman’s Chinese Theater, where Nash placed Donald Duck’s footprints in cement. Nash’s ceremony was the 150th ceremony held by the landmark theater, and coincided with the celebrations of Donald Duck’s 50th birthday. At the time, Nash had mostly retired from voicing the character, but joined in the festivities of the year honoring the character he brought to life.

August 9, 2004 – Donald Duck Receives a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

On August 9, 2004, Donald Duck was the recipient of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He was honored with the walk’s 2,257th star, located on the south side of the 6800 block of Hollywood Boulevard. Fortuitously timed with the character’s 70th birthday celebrations, the star honored Donald’s career, from his first appearance in the 1934 Silly Symphony “The Wise Little Hen,” and his own short film series beginning in 1937. The character received a special plaque in a ceremony in front of the Disney-owned El Capitan Theater and the Disney Store. Celebrating Donald’s honor were Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Daisy Duck, and Pluto. Also in attendance was Johnny Grant, Chairman of the Walk of Fame Committee; Bob Chapek, President of Buena Vista Home Entertainment; and Sharon Morrill, President of Disney Toon Studio.

May 10, 2012 – Imagineer and Disney Legend Alice Davis is Honored with a Window on Main Street in Disneyland

On May 10, 2012, Alice Davis was awarded with a window on Main Street in Disneyland, which is one of the highest honors within the Walt Disney Company. Davis known for her costume designs, beginning with designing an outfit for the live-action model for Sleeping Beauty; she is best known for her work with fellow Disney Legend Mary Blair on the “it’s a small world” attraction, and for her work on the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in 1965. Davis was the wife of animator, member of the Nine Old Men, and Disney Legend Marc Davis, whom she married in 1956.
