On March 9, 2014, the newest daytime parade, the Festival of Fantasy Parade, debuted in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park. The parade aimed to combine Fantasyland with its newest expansion New Fantasyland, culminating in a parade of grandiose parade floats, special new costumes, and a soundtrack of Disney music featuring old classics and new favorites. Ranging from Peter Pan to Frozen, the parade also features special technological and theatrical elements to give a snapshot of each film, with the most impressive being the Maleficent dragon, a clockwork dragon that has since become the symbol of the parade.
