July 8, 2008 – The Compilation Album Country Sings Disney is Released Through Walt Disney Records and Lyric Street Records

On July 8, 2008, the compilation album Country Sings Disney was released through a joint record label release with Walt Disney Records and Lyric Street Records (the Walt Disney Records country label). The album featured reinterpretations of Disney classics, such as “When I See An Elephant Fly” by Josh Gracin and “Part of Your World” by Faith Hill, as well as country songs from Pixar films, such as “Life is a Highway” by Rascal Flatts. The album featured several heavy-hitters within the country music scene, including Bonnie Raitt, Little Big Town, and Tim McGraw. The album peaked at number 15 on the Top Country Albums chart, as well as 91 on the Billboard 200.
